BOLD GENRE STORIES THAT BITE. DEBUT FEATURE IN SITGES.

ABOUT
Megesa Kraken Film is a newly established, Budapest-based production company and creative hub, founded by screenwriter Attila Veres and director Gábor Holtai. The company brings together a group of likeminded filmmakers united by a shared ambition: to create elevated genre films that combine imaginative storytelling with socially and culturally relevant themes.
With a focus on pushing the boundaries of genre cinema, Megesa Kraken Film develops projects that not only entertain but also challenge audiences to reflect on contemporary issues through innovative narrative forms. The collective’s approach is rooted in the belief that genre filmmaking can be both artistically daring and globally resonant, engaging viewers far beyond its Hungarian base.
The company’s debut feature, Feels Like Home, exemplifies this vision. A genre-infused exploration of oppression and conformism, the film will celebrate its world premiere at the 58th Sitges Film Festival, one of the world’s foremost showcases for cutting-edge cinema. International sales are being handled by Celluloid Dreams, the Paris-based company known for championing distinctive voices in global film.
